How are we keeping you safe?

As we prepare to move forward together during this “new normal”, we want to tell you about some of our latest infection control and social distancing protocols we have implemented in our practice to keep patients and staff safe. These measures go above and beyond recommendations from the ADA (American Dental Association), CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). Some of these new protocols are below:

  • Prior to your appointment, our office will communicate with you (phone and/or electronically) for screening questions to help minimize unnecessary contact
  • Only scheduled patients are permitted to enter the office (exceptions include pediatric patients, elderly patients, and special needs patients who may have a companion)
  • Patients are required to wear a face mask or face covering to their appointment
  • Temperatures of all patients, accompanying adults, and staff will be taken with a non-contact thermometer upon entering the office
  • Patients are required to wear a face mask or face covering to their appointment
  • Our staff will wear upgraded PPE including N95/KN95 masks, surgical masks, disposable gowns, and full-face shields during all procedures
  • Implementation of state of the art technology and equipment (Isodry, Purevac HVE) to significantly reduce the production of aerosols during dental treatment
  • Use of a pre-procedural 1% hydrogen peroxide rinse
  • Hand-washing requirements for all patients and staff before and after each appointment
  • Medical grade air purifiers are installed in each operatory and the waiting area, as well as in our HVAC system for constant clean air circulation
  • Continuous monitoring, sterilization, and sanitization of all surfaces that patients and staff come in contact with
  • Daily fogging with Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl): a mix of distilled water, vinegar, and salt in an electrolysis machine which breaks down viral proteins; is 100x more effective than bleach and 100% safe, non-corrosive, and non-toxic!
